SVBE would like to give our sincerest thanks to all the volunteers who helped out at our Big Spring Parking Lot Bike Sale on Saturday, March 21!
With the great weather we've been having, the last two weeks have already been pretty solid, sales-wise. So much so that we were concerned about having enough bikes ready for the Big Sale. At the start of the event, we had 65 bikes for sale and we added on a couple more thanks to the QA crew.

The result: we sold a whopping 39 bikes! The total revenue for the day was $13,617.15, including strong add-on sales of locks, helmets and some racks and saddles. This revenue will go a long way towards our goal of helping those in need. Sang, our newest Shop Mechanic, managed the parts and accessories (P&A) table, and we cleared out quite a bit of space and made more than enough money to cover the pizza, donuts and bagels with P&A sales alone.
We would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped out during the day of the event, including Judy, Pete, Johnnie T., Carol, Michael, Cary, Chris, Bob, David, Taghi, Etienne, Shirley, Cap'n Jonny, Tom, David F. and Rao.
Also, a big thanks to Geraghty and Peter for the help before the event.
And of course, thanks to staff members Toni, Sang and our amazing Shop Manager, Gregg!
The event was a big success thanks to all your efforts, and many happy kids and their families went home with a quality, dependable used bike.
We have another big event in two months: the Big Spring Bike Swap on Sunday, May 17, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Save the date and be on the lookout for more details to be announced.
Thank you, ALL!
