Silicon Valley Bicycle Exchange is proud to partner with the V.A. Palo Alto Health Care System to support Veterans’ mobility, well-being and community connection. Through this partnership, SVBE donates refurbished bicycles, helmets, locks and lights to Veterans who need reliable transportation for commuting, accessing care or simply enjoying the physical and mental health benefits of riding.
Our impact extends beyond donations through Veteran Repair Days, where Veterans participate directly in hands-on bicycle repair alongside SVBE mentor mechanics. These sessions not only build practical skills and confidence, but also create a welcoming, peer-supported environment that reflects the V.A.’s commitment to whole-person care.
