Silicon Valley Bicycle Exchange is proud to partner with Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD) to expand access to safe, reliable transportation for students across the district. Through this partnership, we donate refurbished bicycles and safety gear directly to students at PAUSD schools, helping remove transportation barriers and support students’ independence, health and well-being.
In 2025, SVBE partnered with the City of Palo Alto to donate 24 refurbished bikes (in addition to the regular year-round requests from PAUSD schools) to Socioeconomically Disadvantaged (SED) third-grade students, along with helmets, locks, lights and a bike fitting. We also supported five offsite repair events, offering free basic bike repair to over 250 bikes in support of a safe back-to-school effort.
