We're honored, humbled and thrilled to receive a grant from the Los Altos Community Foundation this year.

The Los Altos Community Foundation (LACF) awards $2.5 million in grants and scholarships to the Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Mountain View communities to help the most vulnerable in the community, including youth.

LACF's generous donations have supported:

  • Youth and education
  • Vulnerable populations
  • Health and safety programs
  • Local arts and culture organizations
  • Environmental efforts
  • Seniors
  • Local community building

SVBE's mission overlaps with many of these categories. With the support of the LACF, SVBE will donate more bicycles and accessories to adults and youth in the area, and in the process, will help recipients with housing, job, health care and education stability through emissions-free transportation.

Our nonprofit has spent 25 of its 28-year history in Mountain View, and now that we're just across the Palo Alto border, we continue to serve the Mountain View and Los Altos communities with our bike donations, volunteer opportunities and recycling services.

We thank the LACF for recognizing and supporting our work. You can support the LACF with a donation here, or further our mission with a monetary donation here
