We are pleased to announce that the Palo Alto Community Fund has awarded the Silicon Valley Bicycle Exchange with a generous grant! We previously announced our amazing fortune in our June newsletter, and are truly humbled to join an amazing group of other nonprofit grantees.
The mission of the Palo Alto Community Fund is to focus on the unique needs of our community and channel charitable giving of local donors to effective organizations that improve the quality of life for everyone in Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, and Menlo Park. The Palo Alto Community Fund gives grants in the following categories: Arts and Culture; Community Development and Social Services; Education; Environment; Health, Mental Health, and Disabilities; Housing and Nutrition; Senior Services; and Youth and Families.
The Bicycle Exchange will use these funds to offer more refurbished bicycles to the greater Palo Alto area's residents in need. The grant has already helped fund parts for our bike repairs for both our charity partners and our #BikeMatchSV program.
We'd like to thank the PACF for its support during these trying times. Consider signing up for its newsletter here, or donating to its fund here.
