Here is a recent letter from our friends at City Team Ministries.

I wanted to express our thanks and gratitude to the SVBE/BikeX organization and its staff for the ongoing support you have so graciously extended to the City Team Ministries Bike Program through your generous donations and contributions of bicycles, equipment and the much needed repair parts made available for our fledgling bicycle program to be successful.

Over the past 18 months SVBE/BikeX has played a major role in helping us to repair, maintain, and upgrade our inventory of bicycles so that the men can ride safely and enjoyably on our scheduled weekend bike rides. Your conributions have also assisted several men in having basic transportation made possible for local job and work related activities.

We started the bicycle program here at CityTeam Ministries 2-years ago with a room full of broken and unusable bicycles, and the simple desire to give the men participating in the Drug and Alcohol Recovery program a chance to enjoy being outdoors, get physical exercise and fresh air, and perhaps reacquaint themselves with how much fun riding a bike can be again!

Our Satrurday morning group rides have become a very positive aspect of each week's activities for the men, and having functionally safe and working equipment to ride is essential to this experience. Ages for participants in the Recovery Prograrn range from 18-60 years old. Regardless of age, bicycling is a great way to clear the mind and bring enjoyment and social interaction into one's life. lt's always nice to see the smiles on men's faces during and after our rides! They really have a great time!

Thank you once again from All of us here at City Team Ministries! May God in turn bless SVBE/BikeX, its staff, and all those associated with it! You are a very positive force in our community, keep up the great work! You make a big difference for more people than you know! Thank you!

Our deepest appreciation and God bless,

Sincerely,
Mark H. Arvay - Volunteer
